Nike’s annual “On Air ” competition allows independent designers to reclaim iconic silhouettes from the Swoosh brand. The Nike Air Max 97 is one of the highlights of the competition. Jasmine Lasode was inspired by a London Summer of Love date!
The pair adopts a summery colour palette, combining yellow, green, blue, orange and pink. Representing the designer’s emotions of love and the English district of Camden, the colour scheme of this Nike Air Max 97 London Summer of Love combines with a white base contrasted with a black outsole. The details include “97P” and “Good Chat” on one of the corrugations and the heel tab. Finally, the air bubble in a yellow/orange gradient symbolises the sunset!
